Let me say up front, I am a Disney Fanatic. I love many things about Disney including the amazing amusement parks, some of the best movies ever made and lot’s of fun (but sometimes expensive) merchandise. So it’s no surprise that I tend to follow Disney news on a semi-daily basis.
I case you haven’t heard, Disneyland announced a few days ago that ticket prices have gone up. The Annual pass has gone from $779 to a crazy $1,049. Pricey, but depending on who you ask, still probably totally worth it.
With this in mind, I couldn’t help but think about my last trip to Disneyland California earlier this year.
In case you can’t tell, I was very excited. One of the things I was most excited about was finally getting the chance to visit the newest attraction “Carsland” at California Adventure.
I was amazed to see such great detail in the intricately sculptured rock work as you can see above. It is truly a marvel to bring the desert landscape of the Carsland to life and I absolutely love the great recreation of classic scenes from the Cars movie.
In the rest of the park there were many beautiful scenes and lots of fun to be had. Into the end of the night as things start to wind down, it is the most beautiful time in the park IMO.
But the fun wasn’t over just yet! The next day we headed Disneyland and spent the day at the Happiest Place on Earth. Disneyland was celebrating the 60th anniversary of the park and so we had to get a picture of the Castle all decked out in it’s anniversary glory…along with about a hundred other people.
Either way, the castle was beautiful. Throughout the day we explored the grounds seeing lots of wild animals such as these crazy creatures
There are so many amazing rides and great times to be had. One of my favorites has to be Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Such a great thrill ride and amazingly great fun!
Just as the night before, we ended the night checking out some Neon Lights and a beautifully lit Disneyland.
All in all it was a wonderful couple of days. I have been to Disneyland many times in my life and every single time it has been a magical experience. From the early days of my parents taking my Sister and I on the wondrous journey through the land of imagination, to times like this last trip that bring me back to a place where everything is possible. Disney will always have a special place in my heart and I hope someday to pass this tradition on to my own children someday.
So yeah, it’s with these eyes I say, the increase in cost is still worth it. But ask me again next year with the next price increase. 😉
